WOODLAND

Woodland live project:
The Woodland Live Project was proposed to encourage the use of the Wood’s many walking paths. The woods act as a running path and dog walking path for the locals around Wood farm. The proposition was to enhance the experience of users by providing rest points. Learning basic building skills and adopting the use of local building materials to create interactive woodland nooks for the users of the wood. Therefore, creating an unobtrusive protective enclosure adjacent to the main walking paths that allows users to rest, read a book, take shade from the sun and provide a safe haven from the busy track.

FOREST LIBRARY
As an extension to the Woodland Live Project, a theoretical scheme was developed, based on the concept that  the woodland acts as a precedent for a community centre. My initial response to the brief was to create a library that transferred the environment of the woods into the interiors of the library, exploring unconventional ways of exhibiting, reading and experiencing books and their stories.
